The Boeing 747-8 is Boeing’s latest addition to the 747 family, with the new wings which were borrowed from the Boeing 787, the dash 8 is a great looking plane.

Powered by four GEnx -2B 787 technology engines, the 747-8 can travel the length of three soccer/football fields in one second!

The -8’s tail is as tall as an average 6 story city building with a height of 63 feet 6 inches.

The Boeing 747 is a wide-body commercial airliner and cargo transport aircraft, often referred to by its original nickname – Jumbo Jet.

It is among the world’s most recognizable aircraft and was the first wide-body produced. Manufactured by Boeing’s Commercial Airplane unit in the Everett, United States, the original version of the 747 was two and a half times larger in capacity than the Boeing 707, one of the common large commercial aircraft of the 1960s.

First flown commercially in 1970, the 747 held the passenger capacity record for 37 years.
