Final Flight Of The First Boeing 727

After 25 years of restoration at the Museum of Flight Restoration center at Paine Field, the first Boeing 727 ever built made it’s final flight on March 2, 2016.

The airline icon made a short flight from Paine Field in Everett, to Boeing Field where it will be available for viewing at The Museum of Flight.

The first Boeing 727 took its inaugural flight on February 9, 1963. This was the first of more than 1,800 727s built.

When the flight test program was finished, 727 prototype was delivered to the United Airlines. During the 27 years of service it flew mostly domestic routes, logging 48,060 landings and 64,495 flight hours.
