MiG Develops Automatic Landing System For Military Aircraft

Engineers of “MiG” Corporation (incorporated into PJSC “UAC”) received the patent for the landing approach aircraft automatic control system.

This digital complex enhances safety of flying in adverse weather conditions, enables pilot to hold the glidepath in an automatic mode and in a shorter time and to continue descent till visibility appears.

This new technology will find its place in Mig-29M/M2 and MiG-35 aircraft.

“We are planning to integrate the new automatic landing system, developed by our engineers, into the up-to-date and perspective “MiG” aviation complexes”, stated the “MiG” Corporation Director General Ilya.Tarasenko. The work is ongoing. One of our engineers’ top priorities is safety and maximum effectiveness of aviation hardware.

The new development of “MiG” Corporationincludes a number of innovative units, drives and systems, including the navigation and measuring complex.

The advantages of the system have already been proved by flight tests with pilot’s positive assessment.
